Udupi: The heads of the eight mathas exercised their rights at North School Polling Station 185 in the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency on Friday.
Sri Vishwaprasannateertha of Pejavara Matha, Sri Vishwapriyateertha of Adamaru Matha, Ishapriya Theertha, Sri Vidyadheeshateertha of Palimaru Matha, VidyaVallabhateertha of Kaniyooru Math, and Vishwavallabhathreetha of Sodhe Matha cast their votes, and Palimaru Math’s junior seer voted for the first time.
Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP candidate from Udupi Lok Sabha seat cast his vote at a polling booth in Kota Tattu Gram Panchayat’s polling station 165, he and his wife Shanta, his daughter Shruti stood in a queue and exercised their rights.
