Karkala : From the past ten years,poor road conditions, are causing problems both for the people and vehicles. Unfortunately, nothing much has been done about it. The Villagers of Sanur Indira Nagar therefore decided to protest this injustice,  and carried out their protest on June 23rd.

The did so against the inaction of the local gram panchayat representatives in a unique way – by planting banana trees in the  middle of the road and shouting slogans against the officials.  They warned of a huge protest in the coming days if there is no response to their demand for improvement in the road conditions.
