Udupi: Kaup police raided an illegal slaughterhouse operating at Muloor on Sunday, October 22 and rescued three calves from the premises.

The illegal slaughterhouse was functioning in a shed adjacent to the residence of one Abdul Kader.

Two persons, engaged in butchery however managed to fled the spot during the raid. The Kaup police team seized meat, tools, weighing scale and other butchery items.

The rescued calves were handed over to Neelavara Goshala, near Brahmavar.

A case stands registered and investigation is on.
