Karkala: Two persons were killed around 20 others were injured in a bus and autorickshaw collision at Nitte village Karkala on Friday October 17.

Police said that collision took place at Manjalpade near Nitte when the bus was on its way from Karkala to Padubidri. The impact of the coalition was such that bus and the auto rickshaw fell into a ditch adjacent to the road.

Jameela (60) and Neha (9) died in the accident. They had hired the auto rickshaw and were on their way to attend a wedding function at Karkala. Both were residents of Hejmady Kodi village.

Both the drivers (bus and auto) were badly injured

Karkala police sources said that the recklessness of bus driver led to accident. A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station.
