Udupi: The Udupi district Jamaat-e-islami Hind (JIH) Women wing staged protest against increasing numbers of cases on women atrocities in front of Clock tower here on Thursday July 19.

Addressing the protest, Shameela Shukurudeen district president of JIHW wings said that government should take all the necessary steps to control the increasing number of atrocity against women by implementing strict action.
They demanded that government should not neglect any case related to women atrocities and police must take immediate action against the culprit.
They also said that strict rules must be implemented for women safety and CCTV camera should be implemented at public places like bus stand, railway stations etc.
She also added that vulgar advertisements, posters and cinemas should be banned or huge fine should be charged against them.
Prostitution, Night clubs should be banned or stopped. Strict action should be taken against infants killing, they pleaded.
Kulsum Abubakkar, Jameela Hoode, Mariyamma Assadhi, Naveeda Kousar and others were present.
At the end of the protest a memorandum was forwarded to Home Minister through SP.
