
Udupi: “I am always powerful. So, I might have been given the energy portfolio,” said Sunil Kumar, minister of Energy, Kannada, and Culture.
Speaking to the media persons here on Saturday August 7 said, “It is a big task to manage such an important portfolio. I will take it as a challenge. I will work in a manner in which the party and government will be appreciated by the public.
“I will take the suggestions and guidance of seniors and experts,” he added.
Speaking on the issue of adding Tulu language to the eighth schedule minister said, ” We will give more stress to the Tulu language. Culture and language should progress together.”
Responding to the query of giving state recognition for the Tulu language, he said, “This is a long-standing demand. There are many obstacles to it. I will try my best in this regard,” he added.
