Higher official convinces Kota SI Kabbal Raj to withdraw resignation

Udupi: Kota police station sub-inspector, Kabbal Raj will reportedly be back at duty on Friday, a day after he tendered his resignation on Thursday, September 22. It is gathered that the higher officials of the department have succeeded in persuading him to withdraw his resignation.

Kota SI Kabbal Raj resigns out of the blue, higher ups had no clue-1According to sources, Kabbal Raj was miffed with district superintendent of police (SP), K T Balakrishna after the latter too him to task in relation to a land dispute at Airody village near Kota. Soon after, Kabbal Raj placed his resignation letter, service revolver and SIM card on his table, switched off his mobile phone and went away.

Kabbal Raj had put in his papers a year ago too, but was dissuaded after he was counselled by the then SP Annamalai.

SP Balakrishna has said that the SI resigned owing to personal reasons. It is said that the SP spoke to Kabbal Raj and asked him to go on leave for a couple of days. According to sources, Kabbal Raj ha assured to be back on duty on Friday.
