Udupi: Five members have been stripped off their primary membership in the BJP for six years allegedly for anti-party activities.

Bommarabettu GP Preisdent Malathi Acharya, Marne GP Vice-President Karunakar Karkera, Kaup Mahila Morcha Chief Sharada Poojary, Ramesh Anchan and Shashidhar from Uchila and Kurkal respectvely have been ousted from the party.

While Sharada Poojary, Ramesh Anchan and Shashidhar are facing charges of fighting the grassroots level polls against the official candidates of the party recently, Malati Acharya and Karunakar Karkera have been charged of campaigning against official candidates fielded by the party.
