Exhibition by photo journalists on ‘World photography day’

Udupi: ‘World photography day’ was celebrated with an exhibition by photo journalists and a programme was organized by Udupi district Working Journalists Association at the Press club on Tuesday, August 19.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Muddu Mohan, Deputy Commissioner by clicking pictures.

In his inaugural speech he said that pictures are equally important to the write-ups and play a vital role in conveying any message.

Further the DC said that photography is an art and every picture has a story to tell. There are various aspects that need to be contemplated during photography. The right click at the right time is a challenge, right vision is also important if one is to get the perfect picture..

Photography is one of the most difficult jobs in the media, he concluded.
 
The renowned photographer Gurudutt was felicitated on the occasion. After receiving the felicitation Gurudutt said photography is a kind of virtual reality. He called upon the photographers to try to narrate the story through graphic representation. He explained the theoretical importance of photography and practical implementation of it.
 
He added photographs are explained solely through the photographer’s perception. Right rules and right theories make a perfect picture. A balanced combination of identity, simplicity, frame, focus and exposure give perfect photos.
