Udupi: Union law minister D V Sadananda Gowda flagged off a bike rally which commenced from Karavali Junction to Brahmavar and at Brahmavar he inaugurated ‘Udupi BJP gramanthara Kacheri’, rural office on Friday May 2015.

While addressing the gathering and party workers, Gowda said that the central government had put forward a proposal to introduce the GST system, it is a single tax system for all States. The proposal has been referred to a Standing Committee and would shortly be presently before the parliament.

DVS while listing NDA’s achievements said that 15 crore accounts have been created under Jan Dhan programme introduced by the Union government, which helps the poor to get pensions, aid from the government direct in to their account. Jan dhan also help to keep the mediators away.

Modi government has come to power with majority because of his good work like introduction of probe into black money and proposal of cashless transactions in banking etc.

He added that as an opposition party, congress failed to work in center, instead they are busy with criticising Modi and his foreign trips. They are ignorant about the economic growth of our country through these trips.

MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary said that in the state 93% people have BPL card, which means they are eligible to get many government schemes, however 25000 Lakh cards are blocked out of which 8.5 lac are BPL cards holders in this case what is the real meaning of Annabhagya? He questioned.

He also added that state government failed to support Gram Panchayaths. State government provides very limited aid to these GPs. On top of that from central government aid given to GP are taken by state in the name of electricity bill. This is a real exploitation of the GP rule he added.  State government should take back the notification.

The Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda while answering a media query later at the inspection Bungalow, said that Central government has decided that henceforth birthday celebrations and death anniversary commemorations will be limited to National legends like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B R Ambedkar, who have contributed their entire life for the upliftment of the nation. He added that the decision has been taken as the increasing number of celebrations leads to loss in the genuineness of the real ones. “People started giving importance to the personalities (Names) rather than their contributions, this trend should change and every one should know the importance of the legends and their contributions”.

Regarding state issues, he said that “State government and Congress leaders concentrate more on criticising BJP than state’s development.

He ridiculed Congress government and its leaders for confusing public, however this time their target was students, with confusion in the declared result and in the allotment of grace marks. The Education Minister assured that the delay will not affect the  CET exam but it is too late and the state government is answerable to the parents of the students.

He called upon the government to immediately solve the confusion and henceforth not to play with the life of the students as they are the future of our country.

Regarding, Adani Power taking over the UPCL thermal power project DVS said that it is their business decision, as UPCL is not owned by the government. The Congress wanted to drag the issue unnecessarily he added.

DVS said that state government had forgotten the meaning of the word ‘Bhagya’ It is turning out to be a curse here, Introducing new schemes are always welcome, but  the government should make sure they can continue htme or not. Annabhagya and Ksheerabhagya are not happening on the ground in many districts, he added.

Further Gowda added that as a CM, Siddaramayya’s contribution to the state is nil,  as he failed in reaching out the needy. He ridiculed the CM and said that “CM had left his examination paper blank, he did not even write the register number so there is no question of providing marks for his performance”.
