Udupi: A builder allegedly committed suicide by stabbing himself in his own car at Sagri, near Manipal on early in the morning on Monday, 24th September.

The deceased has been identified as Oliver Lewis (68), a resident of Laxmindra Nagar, Manipal. He is originally from Honnappa Kundru of Thonse.He left his residence at Manipal at around 7 am today and later he put messages in WhatsApp about his decision of suicide and written a death note that his own decision to end his life. Depression in his life is the main cause to take the extreme step. He was active in Lions Club, Santhekatte and helped a lot of poor people, sources said. 

Udupi District Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi, Additional S P Kumarachandra and other senior police officials visited the spot and have collected the necessary information. A case has been registered in the Manipal Police Station.
