Udupi/Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday dismissed the bail plea filed by Rajeshwari Shetty, an accused in the sensational murder of her husband, Bhaskar Shetty.

While dismissing the bail application filed by Rajeshwari, Justice P S Dinesh Kumar observed that that there is sufficient evidence against her to prove her role in the murder. The prosecution has contended that if she is released on bail, there is a possibilty that she could destroy evidence against her in the crime.

Bhaskar Shetty, a Udupi-based hotelier had gone missing from his residence in Indrali in Udupi in July 2016. The Manipal police had arrested his wife and son a week later in this connection.
