Annamalai: Health security is must for police personnel

Udupi: “Health security is must for police personnel as they work under intense pressure ”,K Annamalai, Superintendent of Police was speaking after the distributing the health cards to police personnel at a function organized by the Manipal University, G. Shankar Family Trust and Mogaveera Yuva Sanghatane at the District Police Office on Thursday 08 January.

Mr. Annamalai said that 80% of the police men use health card which shows that the health assurance to police men is must. In the district there are 1123 police personnel, out of which 756 health cards were given and remaining, will be distributed, shortly.

He added that there are 1.10 lakh police personnel in the State; they face health problems frequently, following their uncertain lifestyle.  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had sanctioned Rs. 1,000 per police employee for medical check-up every year.

Concluding his address, Annamalai said, “Our aim is to provide model police services in the district.”
