Udupi: The District Administration organized a Janata Darshan at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium here, on Friday November 7.
The Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake while acknowledging the public grievances, said, “this is an opportunity to leaders to understand the public issues directly. This programme will also help to dispose pending files”.

All together 130 grievance applications were received out of which, 70 were solved and 60 applicants were assured of immediate action. Taluk level counters were opened to receive applications during the initiative.
MLA Pramod Madhwaraj said, “when the applications are more, it triggers corruption, so our effort is to resolve maximum grievances on a regular basis”, he added.
The MLA informed that a committee was formed under the leadership of five MLAs to take measures to clear all the pending files within six months.
To which Bhujanga shetty, former panchayath member replied, that most corrupt department is the Revenue Department. He requested the DC to simplify the procedures in the land deals.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. R. Vishal said that the problems with the Revenue Department will be addressed by holding consultations with the concerned officers. All the applications would be sorted out on immediate basis he assured.
