Kundapur: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths conducted a raid on assistant commissioner, Dr Madhukeshwar here on Thursday, September 19.

Dr Madhukeshwar was accused of being involved in corrupt activities, even after he was transferred just two days back. He is alleged to have made deals and cleared property documents after demanding bribes.

Based on these complaints, the Udupi ACB raided his residence as well as his office in the Mini-Vidhana Soudha.

They recovered Rs 1.28 lakhs in cash and 23 documents from his residence.

The raid was conducted by ACB DySP Manjunath Kavari, Inspector Sathish and staff.

An investigation into the matter is underway.
