Karkala: A 24-year-old youth was killed when a speeding tipper lorry hit his bike near Bailoor here on April 12.

The deceased is identified as Vineeth from Neere.

It is learnt that the mishap occured due to over speeding and negligence by the lorry driver.

Vineeth was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Anand Devadiga, pillon rider was injured in the mishap.

A case has been registered at Karkala town police station.
