Moodbidri: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Moodbidri Deanery in association with Infant Jesus Church Vamadapadav and Indian Catholic Youth Movement Vamadapadav unit organised an inter parish Village games tournament “Zhalak – 2015” on 15th Feb 2015 at Vamadapadav Church Ground.

The event commenced with the graceful blessing By Rev. Fr Sylvester D Costa, Parish Priest, Infant Jesus Church Vamadapadav which was soon followed by Oath taking by Mr Jackson Eric DCosta, President, ICYM Moodbidri Deanery.

Later various games activities like Lagori, Kabaddi, Village Cricket, Old fashion Show etc were the chief attractions of this event.

“Zhalak – 2015” was traditinally inaugrated by Rev Fr Sylvester D Costa by filling Traditional cask with paddy grains.

The event was presided over  by Rev Fr Sylvester D Costa and was marked by the graceful presence of dignitaries like Sri B Ramanatha Rai, Sri Ivan D Souza, Sri Raymond DSouza, Sri VP Lobo, Sri Stany Lobo, Sri Piyus Levin Rodrigues.

One more highlight of the event was the felicitation of Sri Ivan D Souza, MLC, Govt Of Karnataka and Sri Raymond DSouza, Mr World in Body Building.

The Guests were welcomed by the Nasic Band, ICYM Paladka.

Finally the event was concluded with a grand Closing ceremony presided by Rev. Fr Sylvester D Costa.

Prizes to the winners were distributed. The judges were also felicitated on the occasion. Mr Jokhim Pinto and Br Walter were also falicitated for their generous contribution towards the great success of the event.

Sampige was the Winner and Vamadapadav was the Runner up of the day.

Mr Rajesh Vamadapadav was the Master of the ceremony for the event.
