Mangaluru: A youth was detained from an apartment in Falnir for consuming narcotic drugs, on Sunday, December 10.

The jurisdictional Pandeshwar police, acting on a tip off raided the residence of Oscar William Pereira(29).

While no stock of narcotic substances were found, a medical examination confirmed that Pereira had consumed drugs. The police have however not confirmed if the arrested youth is a part of any drug peddling racket.

He was produced before the court, which has remanded him to judicial custody.
