Kasargod: Two persons were arrested by Kocchi police, who allegedly kidnapped a youth and robbed gold, cash and mobile recently.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Lateef(24) and Nishar(24). Earlier Muneer(22) from Uppala, Sarfuddin(24) and a 17 year old were arrested in connection to this case.

Sebastian from Ayyankavu in Yernakulam was kidnapped by these culprits and robbed of all his valuables.They had allegedly threatened and taken him to a lodge from Marine drive.

He lost Gold worth 7 and half pounds, cash and a mobile. Then they abandoned him on the  roadside and escaped from the scene.

Kocchi police had began investigating the matter. Through information received from the lodge staff they came across the fact that youth from Kasargod were involved in this case. Prateeksh from Uppala and Muhammad Niyaz were also arrested for helping them earlier. They had pledged the gold in a finance agency in Hosangady.

Now the police have recovered gold from the finance agency.
