Thokkottu: In a gruesome road mishap, a youth lost his life after a lorry ran over him, at Thokkottu on outskirts of the city on Thursday morning. However, as the locals scouted through his belongings in his vehicle, they were shocked to recover two packets of ganja. 

The deceased is Saleem (30) from K C Road. He originally hails from Belthangady. It is said that Saleem was plying on his two-wheeler without lifting the scooter stand. Since the stand hit the road, his two-wheeler tilted throwing him on the road. A truck behind him ran over him killing him on the spot.
