Mangalore: A depressed man from Kaikamba allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well in the Bajpe Gram panchayat limits here on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh(26), a cobbler by profession. It is learnt that he was depressed over his mother’s death last year on July 12.

The body was retrieved from the well by fire service. More details are awaited.

Bajpe police have registered a case in this regard.
