Mangaluru: Youth Congress unit Mangaluru celebrated the 68th birthday of Congress president Sonia Gandhi in a unique way on Tuesday.
On the occasion of AICC president’s birthday, the youth Congress members distributed sweets and lunch for more than 50 members of Dr Giridhar Rao Sanjieevini Bai Vathsalyadhama Kodialbail, an old age home.
The programme began with prayer and Dakshina Kannada district youth Congress president Mithun Rai exchanged birthday wishes with the gathering.
Mangalore south youth Congress president Meryl Rego, vice president Ramananda Poojary, district youth congress secretory Kiran Budlegutthu, congress leaders Santhosh Shetty, Girish Shetty and Nazeer Bajal were present.
