Mangalore :  Konaje police have arrested a person on the charges of  attempting to sexually harass a neighbouring woman at Amblamogaru in Tilaknagar  in Konaje police station limits. The arrested man is Satish (25).

The incident took place on July 14, Monday when the woman was alone in her house after her husband left to the mosque to offer Namaz.

Taking advantage of the situation, Satish is learnt to have entered the house and spoken vulgar words and then misbehaved with the woman.

As she raised a cry, locals gathered. However, Satish managed to escape. The woman’s husband later lodged a complaint following which Satish was arrested.

 However, the family members of the accused allege that Satish was falsely framed over the previous day’s incident wherein Satish had reportedly assaulted the woman following a quarrel between the two neighbours.
