Mangaluru: Hat-trick Hero Shivaraj Kumar has said that if the Yettinahole project, which intends to feed water to dry districts like Chikkaballapur and Kolar, poses threat to Dakshina Kannada then he will not think twice before standing in support of DK district. The Sandalwood superstar, who was in Mangaluru to inaugurate audio recording of upcoming Tulu film Katpady Kattappa, told reporters on Wednesday that it is unfortunate that government wakes up only when the drought situation has gone out of control and that it does nothing to prevent the same.

Taking a dig at the government, Shivanna said that the government has utterly failed to manage drought situation and to provide solace to farmers.

He opined that even sport like Kambala, which reflects the tradition of the Tuluvas must be retained at any cost.

Speaking about onslaught of dubbed cinemas, he said that he has always been against dubbing of films. “There are several good stories in Kannada itself. What is the need to go for dubbed films,” he questioned.
