Mangaluru: According to the bulletin released by the state health department, Karnataka on Sunday August 15 recorded 1,431 new coronavirus cases.

Among the districts, Dakshina Kannada once again registered the highest number of single-day cases with 311 new infections, while Bengaluru Urban reported 305 new cases.

Dakshina Kannada alone recording 4 deaths and Bengaluru Urban and Hassan 3 each.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, Karnataka has seen 29,29,464 positive cases.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.93%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.46%.
