Mangaluru: A woman took the last leap of her life at around 7 pm in the evening of December 17.

A car driver on the same road noticed the woman jumping into the river from the bridge and immediately informed the Ullal police.

A vanity bag and a pair of sandals were found at the spot from where the woman took the last leap. The bag contained a voter identity card with her name, age and husband’s name and location written on it. The details mentioned were Sunitha, aged 50, wife of Vijaya and a resident of Kankanady bypass, presumably belonged to the woman who tried to end her life.

A lot of people gathered at the spot soon after the incident. Further investigations are in progress.
