Mangaluru: A woman from Ullal, Someshwar has been tested positive for Covid-19 today, May 13.

With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada district has shot up to 34 now.

The woman too was under treatment for some health issues at the First Neuro hospital in Padil.

As the a few cases from the district came from First Neuro hospital, the patients who were receing treatment at the hospital were kept under quarantine.

The woman from Someshwara too was under quarantine when her throat swabs were sent for testing.

The reports have come positive. Measures have been taken now to sealdown Someshwar area.

The district has seen three fatalities due to COVID-19 so far.
