Kasargod: A housewife was found murdered near her daughter’s house in Mavungal.

Laxmi(50), from Padikochi in Karadka is the deceased.

Police sources said that the woman’s husband Gangadhar went missing after her body was found.

The couple has been staying in their daughter Gayathri’s house from the last month as their son-in-law used to come home late at night. The couple often used to quarrel for some reason or the other. It is said that Laxmi was murdered and her daughter was not aware of the same despite being at home.

When Gayathri’s husband Ajith, an auto driver came home in the afternoon, he did not find Laxmi. He started searching for her and found her in a pool of blood near the house.

The body has been sent to Pariyaram hospital.

Kangangad DySP K Sunil Babu, Bekal Circle inspector Bharathan, Ambalathara Circle Inspector Raj Gopal have visited the spot and are further investigating.
