Manipal : A tragic road mishap reported from near Lakshmindra Nagar here on November 9, Saturday evening, has claimed the life of a woman.
The deceased is Premavathi (58). An employee of Manipal Press. Premavathi had just alighted from a bus and was crossing the road when the bike knocked her down. A seriously injured Premavathi was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed on Sunday.
Premavathi was the mother of journalist Shashidhar Mastibailu. She has also left behind a daughter.
One of the bike riders Kajal Shetty was also injured in the accident. Manipal police are investigating.
