Kasargod: A woman, a native of Chengala Indiranagar in the district met with a tragic accident, in New Zealand where she was employed on Sunday August 17.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Zeenath Rahman wife of Akbal Junaid Fazal resident of Fazal Manzil in Mogral-Puttur.

Reportedly Zeenath was returning home from work when she lost control of her car and hit the road divider.

In the accident Zeenath sufferred grave injuries, although she was taken to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.

Zeenath is survived by her husband Junaid and their 4-year-old daughter Lanika. The family has been living in New Zealand since the last five years.

It is learnt that the mortal remains of Zeenath will be brought to her native  with the appropriate permissions which is in process.
