Kasargod: The Kannapura Police arrested a woman and seized 14 kg ganja which was being smuggled to Kannur from Andhra Pradesh in a train here on September 19.

Shailaja (22) from Godhavari district in Andhra Pradesh is the arrested.

Following credible information, police raided and arrested the woman while a man accompanying her managed to escape. The ganja was being transported to a gang in Kannur. It is learnt that the gang made use of girls for the smooth transportation of ganja.
