Mangaluru: South Canara District Central Co-Operative Bank LTD (SCDCC) has set a record in its history with their annual net profits reaching Rs 23.75 crore this year.
Addressing a news conference, Bank Chairman M N Rajendra Kumar said that the total transaction was Rs 5548.58 crore in the financial year and it has set a target of reaching a net turnover of Rs 6300 crore for the next fiscal year. The bank with Rs 3099.11 crore deposits for the year 2015-16 has become the first district bank in the state to have such huge deposits.
Pointing out that the bank has given agri and non-argi loans summing to Rs 2449.47 cr, he said that the agri loans, over the last 21 years have witnessed hundred per cent repayment.
Kumar said that internet banking service and ATMs at taluk centres are some of the plans in the pipeline.
