Wild boar trap snuffs out human life

Kasaragod: In a shocking incident, a trap laid to kill wild boars, took away a man’s life at Perla Bajikodlu village. His body was found in a well after four days.

The deceased has been identified as Sundara (42).

Many farmers lay traps using conductive wires through which electricity flows to kill wild boars which destroy crops during this period of the year.

The victim, who left home on June 19, was caught unawares and died once he came in contact with the live wire. After his family members complained, the search began to trace him. His body was found after four days on June 22 in a well which was later sent to Periyaram medical college hospital for post mortem. The post mortem report confirmed that the victim had died due to an electric shock.

A case of unnatural death has been registered.

Badiyadka police have arrested the farmer who laid the trap which snuffed out Sundara’s life and further investigation is in progress.
