Mangaluru: District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai, after the peace committee meeting told media that in the coming days peace committee meetings would be held in all taluks inviting all religious heads. At the district level it would be held every two months, he added.
“The administration has gathered several suggestions from various leaders on maintaining peace in the district. Our intention is to maintain peace and we are ready to take all necessary measures in this regard”, he reiterated.
He also said that the police department had obtained crucial clues in the murder of Sharath and would arrest the accused very soon.
When questioned about the allegation that the announcement of Sharath Madivala’s death was intentionally delayed for the sake of smooth functioning of the Congress convention led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader said, “It is a common practice of the BJP to indulge in making false allegations for political gains. A member in the management committee of the hospital is also a BJP leader. Why didn’t he reveal the truth on the same day?”
