Mangalore: A Superb performances and electrifying moments were the hallmark of the play “Who is she?” performed by students of The UXCEL- Trinity Mangalore, on Saturday November 16 evening in the presence of packed audience at St Anges Auditorium.









The event started with a prayer song after which Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa, the director of the show delivered the welcome speech.
Before the play, Dr Geralyn Pinto, the guest of honour was felicitated by Dr Olinda Pereira, the chief guest for the event along with Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa.
Addressing the gathering Geralyn said, “I am thankful for the recognition, if you dream of success and recognize the opportunity, soon you will expand your mind and innovate.”
“Don’t be content with your stand of mediocrity and expand”, she added.
In her presidential address Dr Olinda Pereira, the chief guest for the event congratulated Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa and all other participants of the event for their initiatives.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Olinda Pereira, Dr Geralyn Pinto, Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa along Hisrar Thallani, the event manager of Hisrar Events.
Book Release




















The event also observed a book release by an early budding writer Zoran Syed. The book was released by his grandfather and well-known orthopaedician of Indira Hospital Dr PK Usman. The book named as ‘Speed’ which is based on the relationship between Mankind and Animals.
After releasing the book Dr PK Usman said, “Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa was encouraged the boy she can trly read the minds of the student.”
The author of the book Zoran Syed thanked Prof Maria Phyllis D’Costa and said, “She has inspired me.”
About the Play
The play “Who is she?” was skillfully written which engaged the audience. It portrayed issues such as love, joy, belongingness and peace in an individual’s life.
The play displayed a story about, twin sister who get separated, and the journey through which they find their own identity as well as each other.
The skilful direction made the audience glued to their chairs until the end and made the play a master piece. The impressive stage setting, background music and sound/light effects and the dance continuity of scenes made the show more enjoyable.
The spellbinding drama saw electrifying performance by the lead actors and others. Almost 50 students were trained for the program.
After the play, the critique, Giselle Mehta said, “The show exhibited the young world, created mystery, and engrossed the audience.”
“It was touched a very crucial social issue, which is color bias, which is appreciated and encouraged to build our values and attitudes in a right manner”, she added.
The program was compered by Roshini Rawal and the vote of thanks was delivered by Savitha Salian.
