Mangalore: District Incharge Minister B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the Petro card distribution ceremony here on July 13 at Police guest house.

Addresing the gathering Rai said that being a forest minister he has good relations with the police department and he is glad to serve the department. Later he distributed the ‘Petro’ cards.

J R Lobo on the occasion said that there will be transparency in the system due to petro card facility.

Western Range IGP Amrit Paul spoke about the importance of Technology in our life. He urged people to make good use of technology for the betterment of the society.

Shakuntala Shetty appreciated the service of police department. On the occasion she also urged not to give mobile phones in the hands of minors.

The Petro card facility is given to District Western Range police department for the first time.
