Mangaluru: Commenting on the Beef row, Pranavananda Swamiji, state president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, said, “By November 18-19, a meeting of seers would be held in the state where a decision would be taken whether a person who gives statements hurting the sentiments of Hindus should be allowed to participate in progammes of maths and temples,” he declared.

The Seer lambasted Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who had made a statement on beef, saying, “We have decided to send pork to the Chief Minister. Already it has been sent from Vijayapura. The respective district committees will decide the date and send pork to Siddaramaiah. Permission from Governor would be sought to book a case against the Chief Minister for his statement on beef.”
He added that people should boycott the films of Shah Rukh Khan for his comment on intolerance.
‘Dr Parameshwar should be made the Chief Minister’
The seer extended his support to Dr G Parameshwar for the post of chief minister here on Thursday. Surprisingly, the right wing leader’s support came when a section of Congress leaders were backing Parameshwara for the post of deputy chief minister.
Speaking to media persons, the seer said, “From the beginning I have been maintaining that Dr Parameshwar should be made the Chief Minister. But it did not happen. We need a Dalit Chief Minister. Dalits should be promoted and elevated to the post of Chief Minister in Karnataka. We will be proud if this is done. Hindu Mahasabha will completely support Dr Parameshwar.”
Expressing happiness over former KPCC Chief becoming home minister, seer said, “Dr Parameshwar is a cultured person, it is good that he has now got a good post, that of home minister”.
