Mangaluru: “We are not against Congress, BJP or JD(S). Karnataka Rakshana Vedike is not an association with a political agenda, but we are here to fight for the humanity”, said Rahim Uchil, a member of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike addressing a protest on Monday July 27.

Condemning the attitude of the Congress and the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over the recent Karnataka Lokayukta issues, Uchil made the statement. He further said that if Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao has some shame he must resign at once and the Congress should take some action on it as they are in authority.

Uchil alleged, “The Congress has safeguarded the Lokayukta officials because of which they have been mum on the entire issue. Why can’t they speak up, he questioned.

Expressing concern on the rise in farmer suicides in the State, he said, “The highest amount of farmers’ death has been seen in this Congress rule. They don’t need compensation but a solution to their plight, towards which Congress is doing nothing”, he added.
