Amidst concerns over the water crisis in Bengaluru, the Mangalore Municipal Corporation has declared a temporary suspension of water services in several areas of Mangalore from April 30 to May 1.
Details of Mangalore Water Cut
The planned disruption in water supply is scheduled to commence at 6:00 AM on April 30 and will continue until 6:00 AM on May 1. Residents across various neighborhoods in the city will be impacted by this suspension.
Reason for Mangalore Water Cut
The Mangalore Municipal Corporation has attributed the water supply disruption to essential maintenance work on the piping infrastructure connecting the Rechaka plant to Mangaluru city. According to the MMC, this maintenance is vital for optimizing the water supply system within the city corporation.

Neighborhoods expected to experience the water supply disruption include Padil, Maroli, Kankanady, Mangaladevi, Jeppu, Falnir, Mulihitlu, Bolar, Car Street, Mannagudda, Pandeshwar, State Bank, Shaktinagar, Bajal, Jeppinamogaru, Kannur, Alape, Attavar, Ullas Nagar, Chilimbi, Kodikal, Urvastore, Ashokanagar, Kudupu, Vamanjoor, Bondel, Kavoor, and Marakada.
