Wakf Board Committed to Safeguard its Properties: Riyaz Ahmed Khan

Mangalore: The Wakf Board in the state is committed to safeguard its properties, said state Wakf Board chairman Riyaz Ahmed Khan, while on his visit to Zeenat Baksh masjid, here on Friday May 17 during his Dakshina Kannada district tour.

The honest efforts will be made to avail revenues from Wakf property to the eligible beneficiaries.  The discussions were held with union minister Rehman Khan, for better utilization of Wakf properties.  The discussions were also held with the representatives of Islamic Development Bank, said Riyaz.

Riyaz urged the community to work towards sustaining Wakf properties as the encroachers are likely to get 3 years jail.

Zeenat Baksh masjid chairman Haji Y Abdulla Kunhi, treasurer Haji S M Rashid, trustee Hanif Haji, Khatib Swadakatulla Faizi, state Wakf Board member N K Mohammed Shafi Saadi, entrepreneur P C Hashir, Dakshina Kannada district Wakf Advisory Committee chairman Usman Haji, district Wakf officer Abdul Hameed, Munir Ahmed, Wakf district office manager Abubakker, Riyaz Bunder were present at the occasion.
