Voters Awareness Jatha in Tenjamijar

Moodbidri : A voters’ awareness jatha was  organised from Ula Angadi Anganavadi Centre  to Shantigiri Anganavadi Centre in Tenkamijar   Panchayat on April 3, Thursday. The oath taking function of voters was held at the Shanthigiri Yuvaka Mandala premises later on.

The programme was held under the joint aegis of the Tenkamijar Gram Panchayat, Field Publicity Directorate, Mangalore and Mangalore Rural Child Welfare Department.

Sayish Chowta, PDO of Tenkamijar GP spoke on the importance of exercising  one’s franchise.

Srikanth, Field Publicity Assistant said  each voter should exercise his vote to the candidate who thinks is the best. Those who do not want to vote for any candidate also have the option of NOTA, he said.

Rajeevan, Assistant Field Publicity Officer and others were present.

Stree Shakti Group Members, autorickshaw drivers and Anganavadi workers took part in the jatha.
