Visa agent says woman falsely blamed him of fraud

Mangalore : Abdul Khader, visa agent and owner of Al-Iqlas Tours and Travels  has refuted the allegations made by a woman  that  his firm has cheated her by not paying her dues for her work abroad. It may be recalled here  that  Ayesha of Miyapadavu in Kasargod had recently  alleged that she was not only cheated by the visa agent but also harassed by her employer in Saudi by not paying her due salary. She had also said that she had lodged a complaint with Pandeshwar police.

Speaking to reporters here on November 7, Thursday, Khader said  the allegations of Ayesha were false. He said “the police who checked the documents submitted by him have confirmed that I have  not cheated Ayesha.”

According to Khader, he had helped Ayesha who had approached him  saying she was in trouble and  had sent her as a domestic help in a house at Saudi Arabia on a contract for two years. A salary of 800 Riyals was also  fixed,Khader said adding  she had left on July 21, last year with all expenses met by his company. He claimed that she was paid her salary promptly for the eight months she worked there and added she however violated the contract by returning homeland in eight months.

He further said  out of the commission his firm got after sending Ayesha to work, he had given Rs 11000 to Ayesha’s brother   as the family was in trouble.

Nazeer  Hussain, Ilyas Mulki and Sharief were also present.
