Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district Congress spokesperson A C Vinayraj alleged that Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has failed to provide basic amenities like drinking water, road connectivity among others to Balpa village, which was taken as the ideal village by him under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pet Sansad’s Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY), four years ago.

Addressing reporters at district Congress office on Saturday, December 29 Vinayraj said, “though Balpa village was taken as the model village under SAGY, only Rs 90 lakh has been spent on development works. If an MP failed to bring development work in his ‘ideal village’, how can he be able to bring development works in the whole of his Lok Sabha constituency?”, he questioned.

Coming down heavily on Yuva Brigade founder Chakravarty Sulibele, Vinayraj said, “Sulibele has been spreading false statistics on the development works of Narendra Modi led union government in order to bring the BJP to power again, through his ‘Team Modi’ group. Earlier, he had founded ‘Yuva Brigade’ and succeeded to bring the BJP to power through his clever oratory skill, but, this time Sulibele would not achieve success in his effort and people will teach a befitting lesson to the BJP”, he said.
