Mangaluru: Vikas Kumar Vikash took charge as the new Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City, on Monday, June 29.

He has replaced previous Police Commissioner P S Dr Harsha, who has been transferred to Bengaluru as Deputy Inspector General and Commissioner, Information and Public Relations. 

Earlier, Vikas Kumar served as the Superintendent of Police in Chikkamagaluru and was later promoted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commander, Anti Naxal Force Karkala.
