Victims of Pachanady received interim relief today

Mangaluru:  Finally, 45 families affected by the dreadful landslide of the pachanady have been given interim relief today.

According to the order of the High Court, In the presence of A.S Shilpa, Senior Civil Judge, And the members of District Legal Services Authority, Dakshina Kannada, in cooperation with the panel of advocates, interim relief was offered to the Pachanady victims. Akshay Shridhar, The commissioner of Mangaluru Mahanagar palike, Manjayya Shetty, Santosh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Binoyvi, Jagdish, Ananda Thole, Taranath, Dayananda, and other Officers assisted in providing relief documents.

Akshay Shridhar, The commissioner of Mangaluru Mahanagar palike, assured that only interim relief has been provided to the victims of the pachanady landslide, the full amount of compensation will be provided in the upcoming days.

A member of the District Legal Services Authority spoke on the occasion and said that the victims could be contacted for free legal advice and guidance in case of any legal issues.

The local members of Mangaluru Mahanagar Palike Bhaskara. K and Sangeetha R Nayak were present at the event.
The victims of the district appreciated and thanked the District Legal Services Authority and others who helped to provide relief in a short and timely manner.

On this occasion, The members of Mandara Pratishthana requested The District Administration, Mangaluru Mahanagar palike, and District Legal Services Authority, to rebuild the “Mandara Mane”. A House of Great poet Mandara Keshav Bhat, nation’s first Bhasha Sanman Awardee, First Tulu Sahitya Academy awardee, popularly known as “Tulu Valmiki”. Mandara Mane is one of the heritage which reflects the Culture of Tulunadu. Thus a request was made by the members of Mandara Pratishthana to allocate a suitable site to rebuild it, and to make it a national memorial to preserve and develop the unique culture and language of Tulunadu.
