Mangalore: For the past several years the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has warned the state government to take measures against “Love Jihad”, as they suspect that the recent Ayesha Banu’s, involvement in the Patna Blast was targeted by “Love-Jihad”.

“Love-Jihad”, is an organization sponsoring activists to allegedly trap or lure Hindu girls in the web of love with an objective of converting them into Islam.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad along with Bajrang Dal member organized a press meet for the concerned issue, regarding “Love Jihad” at their office in Lakshminagar Apartments near P.V.S Circle in city on Tuesday, November 12.

Sharan Pumpwell, local convener of Bajrang Dal addressing the press meet said, “Despite several warnings by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal about Hindu girls in the state who are getting ensnared in Love-Jihad and pushed into terrorist activities, the government so far has not taken any action.”

“Ayesha Banu was a Hindu earlier; she loved a Muslim boy and was made to get converted to Islam. Her participation in the terrorist activities is a sign of danger for our community as several other Hindu girls who could get trapped by Love-Jihad”, he added.

Earlier the Vishwa Hindu Parishad had noted that there has been no protection for Hindus in Kerala.  Though the high court had been warned about Love Jihad, the administration, law and order machinery is acting like blind people.

He also said, “Thus the State government has to take some measures by conducting a raid at Ponnani center in Kerala where more than 500 Hindu girls are being converted to Islam and should rescue them. All the girls and women of our society should be careful about love Jihad and they should not fall prey to Muslim youths who try to fool them with promises of love.”

Jagadish Shenava, district working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishat said, “We would hold a protest, if no proper action is taken by the government at the earliest. It is the responsibility of the central government to prevent terrorist activities and a special team should be formed by the government to tackle issues related to Love-Jihad.”

Expressing his urge towards the government to create effective actions for the society he said that the Mangalore has become a hot-stop for terrorist activities and if this continues, soon it will be a terrorist a hub.

Gopal Kuttar, district secretary of VHP, Bhujanga Kulal, district convener, Bajrang Dal, Puneeth Kumar and other members were present for the press meet.
