Mangalore: The district units of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal held a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Monday August 5.

Demanding immediate withdrawal of the compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to Kabeer’s family, who was killed in an encounter by ANF personnel at Sringeri few months ago, the protesters agitated against the state government.

District president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Jagadish Shenava said that the government had erred by handing over the compensation to Kabeer’s family.

He lashed out saying that, the government has also rendered the police department incapable of taking action against illegal cattle traffickers,

They alleged that the State ruling congress government has always acted against the sentiments of the Hindu society.

Pradeep Pumpwell, Manohar Prasad and others participated in the protest.
