Urgent need to fill vacant posts in revenue department: Kagodu Thimmappa

Mangaluru: There is an urgent need to fill the vacant posts in the revenue department through direct recruitment, said state Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa.

Speaking after inaugurating the Revenue Day event organized by the Karnataka State Revenue Department Employees Association at Town Hall here on Sunday, April 23 Thimmappa said, “Since many posts are lying vacant in revenue department, most works have been delayed owing to the staff shortage. In view of this discussions have been held with the chief secretary regarding filling the posts of I and II division employees through direct recruitment.”

“Revenue department will facilitate for construction of office for the Village Accountant (VA) in their respective area by this year. VA should use this office which will be opened in the week days and department has committed approach to provide housing facility in their assigned village. Revenue department is also important department in administration. People look at the government through revenue department as it is one of the important department. Hence it is the responsibility of the department to give clean and transparent administration.

After receiving the memorandum from Revenue Department Employees Association, Kagodu assured of fulfilling their demands.
