Kasargod: An unidentified group allegedly hacked one of the SDPI members here on Monday 22.
   
The victim is identified as Jainul Abid(24), a resident of Talangare Kunnil.
   
The incident occurred at 9.30pm when the victim was leaving his father’s shop near Chakkar Bazar. Meanwhile an unidentified group allegedly entered the shop and assaulted Abid. Nearby shop keepers hearing the victim scream, soon shifted him to Kasargod hospital.

The victim who sustained severe injuries was later taken to a Hospital in Mangaluru but he breathed his last.
   
The body has been sent for post mortem at Pariyaram hospital.
   
The search is on for the absconding murderers. Security has been provided in the area to maintain law and order.
