Mangaluru: “The threat call to State Youth and Fisheries Minister K Abhayachandra Jain from underworld fugitive Ravi Poojary is a hoax created to divert attention from the murder case of Prashanth Poojary,” alleged Dakshina Kannada district BJP Vice-President Umanath Kotian.

Addressing the media at the BJP Office here on Tuesday, October 27 he said, “A leading daily has reported that Prashanth’s murder has connections with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and ISIS. In addition, a leading TV channel has telecast proofs of Minister Jain with the murder accused”.

“The National Investigation Agency on the other hand has reported the presence of sleeper cells of ISIS in Mangaluru. The city’s happenings being reported in Pakistan off late defend this theory. Hence the case should immediately be handed over to the CBI”, he said.

Speaking further, he demanded that the state government must grant a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to Prashanth’s family.
